Spirit Was is a band from Brooklyn headed by Nick Corbo of LVL UP. Today they shared the video for “Golden Soul”, directed by Tara Bayat, off their just released 2 track illustrated 7”. The two tracks are “demos” from an album in the works. Nice sounding song and a nice looking video. Looking foprward to more. Here’s a little from Corbo from the band’s bandcamp page:

Liminal is an ‘endless’ Sigur Rós ambient playlist brought to you by Jónsi, Alex Somers and Paul Corley. The project began back in May and the third installment is live now. As stated on its bandcamp page, t will be built over linear time into a never-finished project. Albums will be released, volumes added to. Liminal, both live and locally, takes the listener to a place neither here nor there; a “liminal” space.

Directed by Adam Gundersheimer and V Haddad, it features Adrianne exploring Coney Island, meeting and connecting with different people she encounters. “The sincerity and intimacy of symbol inspired us to take a documentary approach to the music video,” say the directors. “The project is a sort of tribute and love letter to New York City, Coney Island, and all of the people who make those places so special. We spent a couple of days walking the boardwalk and taking video portraits of people we met. We documented whatever they felt like sharing. It was such a warm experience – each person was so giving.”

I had forgotten what they sounded like for a second, then listened to this throwback instrumental by Be Forest. The acclaimed Italian shoegaze/post-punk trio posted video titled “Atto I”. It’s been over four years since the release of their last album Earthbeat. Welcome back.

She just shared the video for the first single “Romance”, taken from the self-titled debut album to be released on 4AD & Glassnote Records on November 30th. The video, directed by Antonia Luxem, finds Tonra dancing alone to the upbeat ambient track in a nightclub setting. Hey, I’d dance with her.
