The new video for of Montreal‘s “Coquet Coquette” is pretty crazy. During its 3:28-running time you’ll witness a cannibalistic group of marauders storming a deserted island. There’s witch doctors, necrophilia, face-painting, and a shirtless Kevin Barnes for the ladies in the house. Basically, all hell breaks loose. The clip was helmed by Jason Miller of Eikon Productions and features the whole of Montreal crew. They don’t call Wednesday “Hump Day” for nothing, folks.
The band’s tenth LP False Priest is out September 14 in North America and a day earlier in Europe via Polyvinyl. See fall tour dates with Janelle Monáehere.
