School of Seven Bells
School of Seven Bells have announced a new album, SVIIB, due for release next February. It is the band’s first album since the passing of founding member Benjamin Curtis, who passed in December 2013 after a battle with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Curtis’ bandmate Alejandra Deheza has put the album together featuring material Curtis recorded when he was still alive, recordings from the summer of 2012.

The National
The National’s frontman Matt Berninger has teamed up with former Menomena member Brent Knopf (who also records as Ramona Falls) for the new project EL VY. The duo will be releasing their debut album as EL VY, Return to the Moon, tomorrow (Friday, October 30) via 4AD. Today they have shared another single for it, “Silent Ivy Hotel,” via Spotify.
