Fontaines D.C. Announce Fall North American Tour Dates

Irish five-piece Fontaines D.C. are releasing a new album, Romance, on August 23 via XL. Now they have announced a fall North American tour. NYC band Been Stellar will be the opening act.

Premiere: Abigail Lapell Shares New Single “Flowers In My Hair”

Later this week, Toronto-based folk singer/songwriter Abigail Lapell is set to share her fifth full-length album, Anniversary. The record follows after her 2022 effort, Stolen Time, and last year’s record Lullabies, an album of traditional lullabies from around the world. Anniversary sees Lapell joining with Great Lake Swimmers frontman Tony Dekker as co-producer to record the album in a historic Ontario church.

Thomas Powers (of The Naked & Famous) Shares New Single, “Empty Voices” feat. Julien Baker

Later this month, Thomas Powers, co-founder of synth pop outfit The Naked & Famous, is back with his forthcoming debut solo album, A Tyrant Crying In Private, out on May 17th. The band went on hiatus following their 2020 record Recover, freeing up Powers to delve further into production, film scoring, and his own solo music. His debut finds Powers evoking the confessional and minimalist side of indie an alt pop, fused with stirring classical and electronic flourishes.
