New Zealand singer/songwriter Aldous Harding has announced a new album, Train on the Island, and shared its first single, “One Stop,” via a music video. Train on the Island is due out May 8 via 4AD. Below, check out the new single, followed by the album details and her upcoming tour dates.

Harding co-produced Train on the Island with long-time collaborator John Parish (PJ Harvey, Dry Cleaning). It was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales. The duo recorded previous Harding albums at Rockfield: Party (2017), Designer (2019), and Warm Chris (2022). They were joined by pedal steel player Joe Harvey-Whyte, harpist Mali Llewelyn, synth artist Thomas Poli, drummer Sebastian Rochford (Polar Bear), and Huw Evans (H. Hawkline) on bass, vocals, acoustic/electric guitar, and organ.

Last year, Harding guested on the Perfume Genius song “No Front Teeth.”
