Alison Goldfrapp, one half of British duo Goldfrapp, has released “Sound & Light,” the third single ahead of her new solo album, Flux, which is due out August 15th via her own label A.G. Records. Listen to the new single below.

Alison most recently shared the first two singles to Flux, “Reverberotic” and “Find Xanadu.” Flux will be her second solo album, following 2023’s debut The Love Invention, and will be the first album released on her new independently owned record label A.G. Records.

Alison wrote “Sound & Light,” the first song written for Flux, about her imagined idea of the Northern Lights, a phenomenon she’s longed to see her entire life. The track is about “the excitement of an open vista and wanting to embrace a new feeling of emotional freedom.”

“I’d been chasing the Northern Lights for years,” she says.“I’d gone to Finland, Iceland and Norway but never managed to catch them.”
