On Monday night, two explosions went off in the foyer at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England after Ariana Grande finished her concert. Twenty-two people died, including children and teenagers, in a suicide bomber terrorist attack that ISIS has claimed responsibility for. Grande issued a brief statement on Twitter the day after the attack and cancelled all her tour dates through June 5. Now she has issued a lengthier statement. In it she says that the victims “will be on my mind and in my heart everyday and I will think of them with everything I do for the rest of my life.” She is defiant, writing, “We will not quit or operate in fear. We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.” She also promises to return to Manchester for a benefit concert and is encouraging fans to donate to a fund for the victims.
