Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan) has been slowly announcing something the past few days via a game of hangman on top of moody black & white photos on her Instagram and Twitter accounts and now she has shared a 15-second snippet of new music. Could this all be a clever way to announce her new album, the follow-up to 2012’s excellent third album The Haunted Man? Based on how album cycles tend to work these days, she’s definitely due for a new album soon. Right now the game sits as this: “_EX_IT_C_”. Who knows if those are two separate words and if it will spell out an album title, song title, or something else. Of course, if it’s two words, the initial thought is that the first word is “sex” and the second word is “witch” or “bitch.” We will all likely find out what this is all about soon.
