Baltimore duo Beach House (Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally) have just surprise announced on Twitter that they are releasing a brand new album next Friday, October 16. This comes less than two months after the release of the band’s fifth album, Depression Cherry, which came out at the end of August. Their sixth album is titled Thank Your Lucky Stars and will be presumably be out via Sub Pop. “We are very excited, it’s an album being released the way we want. It’s not a companion to Depression Cherry or a surprise or B-sides,” the band wrote on Twitter, although it is certainly a surprise to everyone that a new album is coming so soon.
Below are the band’s various Tweets about it. No other info about the album, such as the tracklist or album cover, has been revealed. Also read our recent interview with Beach House’s Victoria Legrand about Depression Cherry and be sure to pick up Under the Radar’s current print issue to read a separate article on Beach House.
