Beirut (aka Zach Condon and his band) have announced their fourth album, No No No, and have shared the album’s title track. It’s the band’s first release for 4AD and comes four years after their last record, 2011’s The Rip Tide. In those four years a press release explains that Condon was hospitalized in Australia after suffering from health problems related to severe exhaustion brought on by his world tour, he went through a “messy divorce,” and faced writer’s block. “For the first time in my life, I was facing extreme self doubt. I had hit rock bottom,” says Condon in the press release. He finally came through the other side and last fall recorded No No No in a two-week period during “one of the coldest New York winters.”
