From Debut Album Funeral Smoker

Liverpool-based musician, producer and visual artist Broken Down Golf Cart, the project of Canadian-born Jen Baranick, has shared “Mountain Sized,” the latest single from her debut album Funeral Smoker, out now.
The album spans twelve tracks and was entirely self-produced by Baranick, recorded alongside a group of close friends and collaborators, some of whom make up her current live band. She describes the record’s mood as “surfy happy/grieving,” with much of it rooted in themes of loss and love. “These songs are very special to me,” she says.
When she is not making music, Baranick creates stop-motion videos, and the two practices feed naturally into each other. As if a debut album were not enough, she has also confirmed that a second record is already on the way before the end of the summer.
