English popstar Charli XCX has announced a new album, Music, Fashion, Film, and its cover artwork fittingly features icons from each field: Welsh musician John Cale, fashion designer Marc Jacobs, and legendary film director Martin Scorsese. Music, Fashion, Film is due out July 24 via Atlantic.
Charli XCX has recently shared two singles expected to be on the album, the divisive “Rock Music” and “SS26,” as well as two B-sides, “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night” and “Playboy Bunny.” “SS26” was one of our Songs of the Week.
Aidan Zamiri shot the album cover.
Music, Fashion, Film is her second album of 2026 and follows her soundtrack to Wuthering Heights, the latest adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel, directed by Emerald Fennell (Saltburn, Promising Young Woman) and starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The film and soundtrack came out in February. Cale (a former Velvet Underground member) dueted with Charli on the Wuthering Heights track “House,” which was #1 on our Songs of the Week list.
