Connan Mockasin and LA Priest’s Sam Dust Team Up as Soft Hair, Announce Album and Share Video

Soft Hair Due Out October 28 via Domino, Watch Video for "Lying Has to Stop"

New Zealand’s Connan Mockasin and England’s Sam Dust (who records as LA Priest and is the former frontman of Late of the Pier) have teamed up to form Soft Hair. The duo have announced a self-titled debut album that’s due out October 28 via Domino. They have also shared a video for the album’s first single, “Lying Has to Stop,” which you can watch below. Also below is the album’s tracklist.

Mockasin and Dust met in 2009 when Mockasin toured with Late of the Pier and the duo has been working on the album for five years in between their other projects. Dust released his debut LA Priest album, Inji, last year via Domino. Mockasin’s last album, Caramel, came out in 2013 via Mexican Summer. Joseph Bird directed the “Lying Has to Stop” video, which includes Mockasin and Dust filming each other in the shower.
