
Dirty Projectors, J Mascis to Guest on New Season of Portlandia

Staying true to the template of its first two seasons Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s sketch comedy series Portlandia has enlisted the help of several notable indie music guest stars.
According to Entertainment Weekly season three will feature appearances by members of Dirty Projectors as wel as J Mascis. Previous guests have included Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock, Joanna Newsom, St. Vincent, The Shins’ James Mercer, The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy, and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. Season three of Portlandia kicks off Jan. 4 on IFC.
