“Gilmore Girls” Returning to TV With Four New Episodes at Netflix
Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and Main Cast All Coming Back
Yet another long cancelled TV show is returning to TV. TV Line’s Michael Ausiello reports that Gilmore Girls is joining the likes of The X-Files, Heroes, Twin Peaks, and Full House and coming back. It will be via a 4-episode limited series on Netflix. It will be written by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino and will see the return of all the main actors, including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, and Scott Patterson. Each episode will be 90 minutes long. Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 to 2007, first on the WB and then on the CW for its final season. Sherman-Palladino famously wasn’t involved in the show’s seventh and final season, leaving the show due to a contract dispute. She has been quoted as saying that the show didn’t end the way she would’ve ended it (for example, she had always intended the show’s last ever lines to be four words, words she’s never revealed). Maybe this will be her chance to end things right. Read more over at TV Line.
