Gruff Rhys
Gruff Rhys, frontman for both Super Furry Animals and Neon Neon, has released a brand new song, “Shark Ridden Waters,” available to download from his website and the widget below for the price of an email address. The song is to be taken from his third solo album, which was announced today and is due out in February 2011. The press release hypes that the album (its title has yet to be revealed) “promises to be the Welsh singer and musician’s most ambitious and accomplished yet.”
“Shark Ridden Waters” will also be released in the U.K. on 12-inch vinyl on November 8th. Rhys’ strange collaboration with Brazilian musician Tony Da Gatorra, The Terror of Cosmic Loneliness, was released this past July. His last solo album was 2007’s Candylion and Super Furry Animals released Dark Days/Light Years in 2009.
