Here We Go Magic Announce New Album, “Be Small,” Share Video for “Falling”
Be Small Due Out October 16 via Secretly Canadian
Jul 23, 2015 Luke Temple
Here We Go Magic have announced a new album, Be Small, and have shared the video for its first single, “Falling.” Be Small is due out October 16 via Secretly Canadian. It’s the band’s first full-length since 2012’s Nigel Godrich-produced A Different Ship, although in 2013 frontman Luke Temple released a great (and criminally underappreciated) solo album, Good Mood Fool.
Be Small, as the title suggests, finds the band scaling back; self-producing, self-recording, and mixing the album themselves. The band, which at one point was a five-piece, is now a duo featuring Temple and Michael Bloch. A press release says the band was inspired by Brian Eno and John Cale’s Wrong Way Up and Robert Wyatt’s Shleep. Check out the retro-looking Sam Kuhn-directed video for “Falling” below, followed by the album’s tracklist, the band’s tour dates, and Be Small‘s cover art.
