French Cuban twin sisters Ibeyi (Naomi Díaz and Lisa-Kaindé Díaz) are releasing a new album, Ash, tomorrow (September 29) via XL. Previously they shared a surreal video for “Deathless” (a song that features Kamasi Washington on saxophone), as well as a video for “Me Voy” (the duo’s first song entirely in Spanish, it featured two-time Latin Grammy winning rapper Mala Rodriguez). Now they have shared a video for another new song, “I Wanna Be Like You,” which features them as each other’s opposite. Remi Besse directed the video, which was shot in France. Lisa-Kaindé had this to say about the song in a press release: “Sometimes I want to be like Naomi. I want her eyes, to feel the rhythm as deeply as she does, to dance like her, to be as wild as she is; sometimes I just want to be her for even a few seconds.”

The album also features Chilly Gonzales and Meshell Ndegeocello. Ash also includes “Away Away,” which was released back in June. The album is the follow-up to 2015’s self-titled debut.
