We are obvious and big fans of Iceland Airwaves. And this year we’re about to become twice the fans as the fest expands into Akureyri. (In addition to keeping the digs in Reykjavik.) As per usual the first wave of artists announced are outstanding—and we haven’t even gotten to the bigger names yet!

Slateed to play so far: Arab Strap, Ásgeir, Auður, Be Charlotte, Soffía Björg, Benjamin Clementine, Emmsje Gauti, GKR Glowie, Gurr, Hatari, Hugar, Daniel OG, Kelly Lee Owens, RuGl, Emiliana Torrini & The Colorist, and Xylouris White
