Warpaint bassist Jenny Lee Linberg has announced her debut solo album. For it she will simply be going under the name jennylee. The album, entitled right on!, is due for release on December 11 via Rough Trade. She has shared a teaser trailer for the album, which you can watch below. Directed by Mia Kirby and Sierra Swan, the video features snippets of three songs from the album: “never,” “boom boom,” and “he fresh.” (Yes, the press release uses all lowercase letters for all the titles).

Lindberg co-produced right on! with Norm Block and recorded it at Happy Ending Studios in Silverlake, CA. Lindberg also wrote all of the album’s 10 songs. Warpaint’s drummer Stella Mozgawa also plays on the album, which is said to mix New Wave and goth elements into Warpaint’s sound. Early pre-orders of the album via Rough Trade will come with “a custom designed patch AND a unique Polaroid taken and signed by jennylee.” Lindberg will be previewing the album at a November 4th show at Baby’s All Right in New York.
