Swedish singer/songwriter Jens Lekman is a master lyricist and storyteller so it would be quite an honor to have him write a song about you and that’s exactly what’s happened to some lucky fans. Lekman, who hasn’t released an album since 2012 and whose 2007 album Night Falls Over Kortedala is a modern classic, has a new project dubbed “Ghostwriting.” For it he has teamed with the Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center and asked people for their true stories to turn into songs. He met with the selected individuals personally and now he’s shared a playlist of the songs, with more songs being added this week.

Here’s how Lekman explains it on Soundcloud: “In September 2015 I announced together with Cincinnati Contemporary Art Center that I was looking for stories to turn into songs. A large amount of stories were submitted and I chose twelve of them. After interviewing each participant I finally locked myself in a room with two other musicians to write and record the songs. This is the result. The playlist will be updated with new songs everyday between Nov 16 - 19.”

The below playlist features nine tracks at the time of this posting and you check back to see if more songs have been added.
