When I hear Rihanna’s music, I think about a few different songs. One is “Only Girl.” What I think this means is a woman that is trying to find the man that will take it all the way with her. She wants to be his number one priority. She wants to be treated as a queen in his eyes. The reason why is because she is willing to show him what she will provide but doesn’t want to take that risk if she is going to be just another one night stand in his books. She hopes that he will want to start a family with her. She wants to see an everyday dedication that he is working towards a future with her. She doesn’t want to cook him a meal and do his laundry if he don’t deserve that attention. If he is going to turn around and cheat on her, he isn’t worth being loved the way she wants to love him. As soon as he shows her she is the only girl he thinks of, she will in return provide him with everything a man can ever dream of getting from a woman. Another song I think about is “Where Have You Been.” It is kind of the same concept except for the woman not having any luck finding this right man for her. She has been screwed over too many times by men that seemed like they deserved her at first but then tore her heart apart by seeking other females. She thinks that there are men still out there that are the right ones but doesn’t want to be deceived anymore. It is hard for her to trust another man because it will mean that she would fail again if he turns out to be like the others. It will take a long time for the right one to gain her trust. Unfortunately for the right one, he will have to work hard. It will upset him when he thinks that he isn’t getting anywhere with her but patients will pay off when she realizes who he is.
