The next twelve months are shaping up to a big deal for Memoryhouse‘s Evan Abeele and Denise Nouvion, what with the release of the band’s full-length debut The Slideshow Effect in February. Giving 2012 a proper kick-start, the Canadian duo has released a cover of The Zombies’ classic track “This Will Be Our Year.” In a statement on the group’s website Nouvion says, “I hope this song helps motivate you to lose 5 pounds, stop smoking, and watch less reality T.V. (or is that just me?).” Give a listen and download below. The Slideshow Effect is out Feb. 28 via Sub Pop.
