Listen: Passion Pit - “I’ll Be Alright”
Announce Tour Dates
Jun 12, 2012
Passion Pit
Last month Passion Pit returned on the scene releasing “Take A Walk,” the first single off the band’s forthcoming sophomore album Gossamer. Yesterday, the Massachusetts-based group released another new cut, the spastically digitized “I’ll Be Alright.”
In a recent interview with NME frontman Michael Angelakos says that Gosssamer will have a more “expansive” selection of songs than the band’s 2009 debut Manners: “If it feels like one song is drastically different from another who cares? I just really wanted to make a collection of good songs, that kind of album that harps back to the 90s… Everybody now wants new songs to sound the same and I really dislike that.”
Recorded in Los Angeles and New York City throughout 2011, the new album is to get plenty of exposure thanks to a multitude of live performances scheduled throughout the year, including a number of new fall dates just announced by the band.
You can listen to the new song and view all of the upcoming performances below. Gossamer is out July 24. (via NME)
