M. Ward has announced a new best of album, For Beginners: The Best of M. Ward, and announced some new tour dates. For Beginners is composed of 14 tracks pulled from his Merge discography, with an additional newly recorded song, “Cry.” It will be released on September 13 via Merge.

Ward has added over a dozen shows for the upcoming fall. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (July 26) at 10 a.m. local time. Find the tour dates and tracklist and cover art for For Beginners below.

Recently, Ward was featured on the new Dr. Dog self-titled album in their single “Love Struck.” Another Ward project, Monster of Folk—the supergroup also featuring Conor Oberst, Jim James, Mike Mogis, and now Will Johnson—recently announced a 15th anniversary reissue of their self-titled album with bonus tracks.
