Metric Share New Song “Crush Forever”
Romanticize the Dive Due Out April 24 on Thirty Tigers
Apr 02, 2026
Metric are releasing a new album, Romanticize the Dive, on April 24 via Thirty Tigers. Now they have shared its third single, “Crush Forever.” Listen below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.
In a press release, vocalist/keyboardist Emily Haines says the song is “my love letter to strong girls in this world.”
Previously Metric shared the album’s first single, “Victim of Luck.” It was one of our Songs of the Week. They also announced some tour dates with Broken Social Scene and Stars. Then they shared its second single, “Time Is a Bomb,” which was also one of our Songs of the Week.
Romanticize the Dive is the band’s 10th album and follows 2022’s Formentera and 2023’s Formentera II. The album was recorded at Electric Lady, where they have recorded before. Gavin Brown, who worked with the band on Fantasies and Synthetica, produced Romanticize the Dive, with co-production from Jimmy Shaw and Liam O’Neil. John O’Mahoney mixed the album.
Metric is Emily Haines (vocals, keys), Jimmy Shaw (guitar), Joshua Winstead (bass guitar) and Joules Scott Key (drums).
Metric, Broken Social Scene, and Stars have a long association with each other, dating back to the early 2000s when all three Canadian artists came up at the same time and often collaborated with each other.
