Modest Mouse Join Instagram, Tease New Music

Not counting 2009’s No One’s First and You’re Next‘s collection of b-sides and unreleased material, it’s been seven years since Modest Mouse released a proper album with We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. Joining Instagram today, the band’s has at last seemed to tease the arrival of something new. The group’s first post is the included image with the hashtag #lampshadesonfire, the same name of a song that has been in the band’s live rotation since 2011. Easy money would seem to suggest a proper recording of the song is on its way. Stay tuned.
