Modest Mouse Launch “Strangers to Ourselves” “Linguistic Remix Generator”
Isaac Brock Also Shares Track-by-Track Commentary

Modest Mouse
This week Modest Mouse returned with Strangers to Ourselves, the band’s first album in eight years.
Giving fans a little something extra for their listening experience, the group has launched a “linguistic remix generator” for the album, where you can type in any phrase or jumbled group of words and according to the description “takes your input and dynamically converts it into a remix based on samples from the new record ... The algorithm compares common letter frequency data and generates stems and patterns to match. It also analyzes the sentiment of the text to determine the final BPM of the remix. Depending on the input, a remix can consist of up to three phrases; or more commonly put, a verse, a chorus, and a bridge. Each remix then generates a visualizer inspired by the album artwork.”

In other Modest Mouse news, frontman Isaac Brock h as recorded a track-by-track commentary to each song featured on album, which is available to stream here on Spotify.
