Mumford & Sons have announced a new album, Delta, and shared a lyric video for its first single, “Guiding Light.” Delta is due out November 16 via Gentlemen of the Road/Glassnote. Check out “Guiding Light” below. The album’s tracklist and cover art have yet to be revealed.
Delta is the band’s fourth album. Mumford & Sons’ last full-length was 2015’s Wilder Mind. Prior to that there was 2009’s debut album, Sign No More, and their 2012 sophomore album, Babel, which won the Grammy for Album of the Year. The band (Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane, and Winston Marshall) collectively wrote Delta, which was produced by Paul Epworth and recorded at London’s The Church Studios. Next Monday, September 24, the band will perform “Guiding Light” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
We were the first American magazine to interview Mumford & Sons, way back in 2008 when they had yet to even release their debut album. Revisit that article here.
