Nashville-based singer/songwriter mxmtoon has shared a new song, “i hate texas,” from her forthcoming third album that she has not officially announced yet. Mxmtoon is currently opening for AJR’s stadium tour of North America and has other dates scheduled. Find her tour dates and music video for “i hate texas” below.

Since she was 17-years-old, mxmtoon has been making catchy pop music inspired by the complexities of her emotions. Now, as a 24 year old, she has gained global attention and collaborated with the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen and Noah Kahan.

Of today’s release, mxmtoon said this in a press release: “Working on ‘i hate texas’ felt like when I first started making music, like I was completely in my element. I felt inspired to get a little sarcastic and write a song with some kick to it, just as pure fun.”
