NBC Cancels “Community”
C’mon Guys, What About Six Seasons and a Movie?
May 09, 2014 Community
Well NBC, you really Britta’d this one. Community has been canceled. Thus, the show has failed in its quest for six seasons and movie.
Okay, so maybe it’s not surprising. Despite finding a strong cult following the comedy never really caught on with viewers. The recent season was cut to 13 episodes and averaged just 3.8 million viewers and a 1.6 rating in the 18-to-49-year-old demographic (a.k.a. the desirable one.) Still, streets behind guys. Streets behind indeed.
Here’s hoping the comedy might see a revival a la Arrested Development. Do you hear us Netflix/Hulu/Amazon/anyone else on the internet? We could totally live with five seasons and a sixth that we binge-watched and then sorta kinda think about from time to time.
Let’s ban together and make it happen. E Pluribus Anus!
