Netflix Shares First Full Trailer for “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday”

Paul Reubens is returning as Pee-wee Herman in a new movie for Netflix, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. Previously we were treated to a teaser for the movie and today Netflix released the movie’s first full trailer. In it Pee-wee meets a stranger (Joe Manganiello) and decides to finally leave his small hometown and go on a holiday, which seems to lead to massive cross country adventure. Watch the trailer below and stream the movie on March 18.

Reubens co-wrote the script with Paul Rust, Judd Apatow is producing the project, and the film is directed by John Lee. The Pee-wee Herman character was popular in the 1980s and starred in two TV shows (1981’s The Pee-wee Herman Show and the more popular and kid-friendly Pee-wee’s Playhouse from 1986-1990) and two theatrical films (1985’s Tim Burton-directed classic Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and 1988’s less well-received Big Top Pee-wee). Pee-wee’s Big Holiday also stars Jessica Pohly, Alia Shawkat and Stephanie Beatriz.
