Netflix Shares First Teaser Trailer for “Pee-wee’s Big Holiday” and Announces Premiere Date

Paul Reubens is returning as Pee-wee Herman in a new movie for Netflix, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday. Today Netflix released the movie’s first teaser trailer and announced a March 18 premiere date. Reubens co-wrote the script with Paul Rust, Judd Apatow is producing the project, and the film is directed by John Lee. The Pee-wee Herman character was popular in the 1980s and starred in two TV shows (1981’s The Pee-wee Herman Show and the more popular and kid-friendly Pee-wee’s Playhouse from 1986-1990) and two theatrical films (1985’s Tim Burton-directed classic Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and 1988’s less well-received Big Top Pee-wee).

In Pee-wee’s Big Holiday Pee-wee Herman takes his first ever holiday. The film also stars Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohly, Alia Shawkat and Stephanie Beatriz. Check out the teaser below and stream the movie as of 12:01 AM on March 18.
