New International Trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Shows Off a Bunch More Footage
Highly Anticipated Sequel Due Out December 18th
Nov 06, 2015 Star Wars
Last month what was described by directed J.J. Abrams as the final trailer for the highly anticipated sequel Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiered. But not so fast, that may have been a final American trailer, but a new international trailer has just been released and it shows off a bunch of new footage. It’s aimed at the Japanese market, but is in English with Japanese subtitles. It shows off more C3PO (Anthony Daniels) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and also appears to feature the first meeting of John Boyega’s Finn and Daisy Ridley’s Rey. Harrison Ford’s Han Solo also gets some lines. Check it out below and the movie is out in America on December 18th.
Hoping to wash away the bad aftertaste left by George Lucas’ poorly received Star Wars prequels, director J.J. Abrams will take us back to that far, far away galaxy. A sequel to 1983’s Return of the Jedi, the movie is set around 30 years later and brings back all the major cast from the original trilogy (including Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Mayhew, Daniels, and Kenny Baker), as well as new cast members Boyega, Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong, and Miltos Yerolemou.
