Things are improving for pop purveyors Noah and the Whale. As reported by the BBC, two men have been arrested in conjunction with last week’s theft that left the band missing many irreplaceable instruments. The police have managed to recover a trailer and one amp, however most of the band’s gear still remains missing.

However, the band is pressing on, touring in support of their new album/film The First Days of Spring (out today). In addition to musical sets, certain cities will also play host to screenings of the film, directed by Whale-lead man Charlie Fink and staring model/actress Daisy Lowe.

I won’t say that this band is exceptional. They do have the caliber to become one of the best in the industry but they do have to improve a lot in certain areas. Their lyrics are actually good, but they do need to focus on music composition.
