Aug 31, 2011
Noel Gallagher
Last seen as a member of Oasis, Noel Gallagher‘s new project album, High Flying Birds, takes flight on November 8-preceding his television debut on The Late Show With David Letterman on November 10. High Flying Birds is the result of a co-production by Noel Gallagher and Dave Sardy, who produced Oasis 2008 album, Dig Out Your Soul. It will be released via Sour/Mash Mercury Records.
The North American tour kicks off November 7 at Massey Hall in Toronto, ON. (If any Gallagher fans have yet made time to visit their Canadian brethren, now would be a good time to do so.)
Gallagher shared that the band will be performing a few well-known Oasis tracks, while introducing his solo material on stage. He elaborates with: “I’m proud of them and what they mean to people,” when speaking of the Oasis tracks. “I’ll never do a gig without playing them. They’re like drugs to me.”
