Premiere: Burnt Palms - “Fold”
Back On My Wall Due Out Feb. 5 on We Were Never Being Boring
Dec 11, 2015 Burnt Palms
On February 5, Seaside, CA four-piece Burnt Palms will release the LP Back On My Wall via We Were Never Being Boring. Today, we’re sharing the record’s lead single, “Fold.” The song recalls the bruised sweetness of fuzzed-out indie pop from the late-‘80s and early-‘90s, though there’s nothing twee about the lack of sentimentality on display, or snarl that creeps into the vocals as the track comes to a close. “Fold” may collapse before it hits the two-minute mark, but it still manages to condense an entire relationship’s worth of discontent into its brief running time.
