Premiere: Glass Animals: “Black Mambo (Zodiac Remix)” stream
“Black Mambo / Exxus” Single Out Now via Wolf Tone
Jul 18, 2013 Glass Animals
Last year we did a Pleased to Meet You feature on Oxfordshire, England-based electronic rock band Glass Animals and now the four-piece (David Bayley, Drew Macfarlane, Edmund Irwin Singer, Joe Seaward) have released a new double A-side single “Black Mambo / Exxus” and we’ve got the premiere of the Zodiac remix of “Black Mambo” for you. Toronto-based producer Zodiac might be best known for his production work on The Weeknd’s House of Balloons album and is a perfect match for Glass Animals’ atmospheric synths, deep bass, and narcotic beats.
“Black Mambo / Exxus” was released a couple of weeks back on Paul Epworth’s Wolf Tone label. It’s the debut release for the label from Epworth, a busy producer (Friendly Fires, Florence and the Machine) and now Oscar winner, thanks to co-writing James Bond theme “Skyfall” with Adele.
Glass Animals will be playing this year’s Bestival in the U.K. and have other European festival appearances this summer:
July18th - Melt Festival, Germany
August 2nd - Off Festival, Poland
September 7th - Bestival, Isle of White, U.K.
Check out the remix. Below that remix, plus a bonus remix.
