Cameron Mesirow’s Glasser project specializes in the kind of indulgent lush electronic pop can only be described as aural pampering. Sailing on Bjorkian clouds of arpeggiated melody and a touch—but not too much—of kinetic thump and clack, it’s music for the chill room at Buckingham Palace in 2199.
This sonic indulgence reaches positively imperial levels with the addition of Peptalk, electronic exotica trio featuring Tyondai Braxton knob-tweaker Michael Carter, vocalist Angelica Negron, and Glasser’s own touring percussionist Shayna Dunkelman. Peptalk beds Glasser’s cutting “Divide” upon cotton candy clouds of synth bliss, a neo-exotica daydream that glides past psych house and Martin Denny with equal ease.
