Premiere: Glassio Shares New Video “Off The Cuff”

New Album The Imposter is Out February 25th

Jan 15, 2026

Irish-Iranian singer/songwriter Glassio makes indie pop shaded with hints of gauzy shoegaze guitars and lithe electronic textures, debuting with his 2020 album, For The Very Last Time, and following with his 2022 sophomore album, See You Shine. Later next month, Glassio is set to return with his third full-length record, The Imposter, and he has spent the last year steadily sharing new singles from the album, including his latest track, “Off The Cuff.” Coinciding with the release of the single, Glassio’s online identity has also been replaced by an alternate version of himself, played by his brother. That shift is culminating today in the accompanying video for “Off The Cuff,” premiering with Under the Radar.

“Off The Cuff” pivots between spacious, sighing indie pop and driving, guitar-heavy rock fare, never quite settling completely into either lane. The track opens with a breezy drum groove and chilled-out guitar riffs, with Glassio gradually sinking further into a pool of cool, crystalline synth tones. He places his soft croons and murmurs at the top of the mix, pulling out playful melodies in his lower register before jumping up into his falsetto for the chorus. Later, the track gets an unexpected shot of energy with an infectious guitar line, veering off towards an echoing finale laden with distortion, stacked vocal harmonies, and slick hooks.

Glassio says of the track, “I wrote and recorded ‘Off The Cuff’ on a whim when I was between studios and had my setup literally squashed up on a windowsill in the corner of my bedroom. I think being in that somewhat claustrophobic space made me want to make something gritty and in your face. It’s a song about feeling out of touch with yourself, questioning identity, trying to break loose from feeling self-conscious, or worrying about what you’re gonna say.”

With the video and accompanying social media campaign, Glassio similarly finds himself playing with themes of identity and authorship. We’re in a moment where sussing out truth and authenticity is nearly impossible, especially behind the anonymity of the internet, and the video obliquely touches on these themes as Glassio’s brother gradually takes over his identity. It operates in an uncanny valley, with repeating movements, imagery, masks, and portraiture that all begin to bleed together into a surrealist blur until the viewer can’t say for certain who they are watching.
