Gainesville, Florida-based sextet Holopaw splits the difference between Sufjan Stevens and Bright Eyes, cranking out melodic chamber pop that sounds as though it could go off the rails at a moment’s notice. Ahead of the release of their forthcoming album Academy Songs, Volume 1 (due out January 5) today they let loose a single called “Golden Sparklers.” We’re pleased to premiere of single b-side, “Yearling’s Darlings.” Take a listen below.
