Remember your first heartbreak? Loveskills does—and he’s incapuslated it in this deliciously lo-fi synth cover of Smashing Pumpkins’ “Luna.”

“I chose this song because it was a personal favorite during that puppy love era growing up,” says Loveskills main man, Richard Spitzer. “‘Luna’ encapsulated that feeling of having that first big crush. To my surprise after recording the tune I learnt that Billy Corgan wrote it for Courtney Love who broke his heart after leaving him for Kurt Cobain.”
