Premiere: The Duskwhales – “Living Room” Video
The Last Gasps of Autumn
Dec 17, 2015
The Duskwhales
Today, we’re sharing the premiere of “Living Room,” the latest video from Virginian indie band The Duskwhales. On first listen, the track is pleasantly crafted baroque pop, but there are some rather sour sentiments smuggled in beneath those sweet surfaces (if you’re looking for reference points, mid-period Beatles, Elliott Smith, and Emitt Rhodes spring to mind).
Connecting with us via email, the band shared some thoughts on the clip:
“The video is very autumnal themed, which is a bit strange now that everyone’s collective consciousness has basically shifted to Christmas. In a way it’s sort of about the death of fall, but there are a lot of interpretive possibilities. We’d love to hear people’s theories.”
