Candy Bars' Drummer, 34, Dies In Motorcycle Accident

Ryan Fujiki-Hastings of the band Tampa, Florida band Candy Bars was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday, September 8 in Ybor City, Florida. He was 34.
Candy Bars’ awkwardly-titled 2006 album On Cutting Ti-Gers in Half and Understanding Narravation was well-received by critics and garnered the band a Pleased to Meet You feature in Under the Radar the same year.
A charitable fund has been established to help Fujiki-Hasting’s wife and infant daughter. More information can be found at www.fujikihastings.com.
The band’s label, New Granada, has also pledged to donate 100% of proceeds from sales of On Cutting Ti-Gers to Fujiki-Hasting’s family, as of September 10th. You can visit the label’s site here.
