Musical artist The Child of Lov has died at the age of 26. Confirmed to NME through his manager, the Belgian born artist, Martijn William Zimri Teerlinck, passed away Dec. 10 following complications after surgery.
A statement has been released on the sudden end to a rising talent: “On behalf of the family and as his manager I must announce That Martijn Teerlinck aka Cole Williams aka The Child of Lov aka Sun Patzer is no longer with us. He lived a life of struggle and can now rest peacefully. In his own words: ‘When I was younger, I had a tough time physically. I have seen too many hospital beds. It made me stronger. Makes You Realize death is always near, for anyone. And what a wonderful thing life is and how grateful we should be.’”
The Child of Lov released his self-titled debut earlier this year. (via Line of Best Fit)

This tragic news wouldn’t have hit me as hard as it did this morning if it weren’t for his spot in Under the Radar. Every time I hear this record I will remember how important every moment of life really is and to try to make something to contribute to the world inspired by my aspirations.
