So, about the second weekend of Sasquatch! this year…er, yeah, don’t get too excited—it’s been canceled. The decision was spurred by poor tickets sales, which the organizers chalked up to it being the forth of July weekend.

“Unfortunately, the second weekend was not embraced,” says Live Nation Seattle president Jeff Trisler. “We felt it was better to cancel the new event now and give everyone time to make alternative plans for the Fourth of July weekend. Going forward, Sasquatch! Music Festival will be at the Gorge Amphitheatre on the weekend the fans want: Memorial Day Weekend only.”

Many of the acts scheduled to play, including Soundgarden, Kraftwerk, New Order, Frank Ocean, Röyksopp & Robyn, Neutral Milk Hotel, will be making other performance plans. A schedule will be released shortly.
