As part of Cologne, Germany’s Week-End Fest (taking place November 30-December 2), Stephen Malkmus has announced that he will perform Can’s Ege Bamyasi in full. King of the guitar slacker rockers taking on the hallmark of German freak rock in time for the album’s 40th birthday? It makes almost too much sense…

Wonder if he’s considered any sponsorship? With Can’s extended jams, getting through Ege Bamyasi is an extreme sport worthy of Red Bull.
