Stream New Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings Album “Give the People What They Want”
Due Out Jan. 14 Via Daptone
Jan 06, 2014 Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings
Back in August, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings announced their new album Give the People What They Want. And then the release postponed when frontwoman Sharon Jones was diagnosed with cancer. Sad stuff. But as evidenced by appearances at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and one-off “Ain’t No Chimneys in the Projects,” the first lady of soul is back and better than ever.
The new release date for Give the People What They Want is Jan. 14—but thanks to NPR you can hear the album streaming now. Hop over there to get your vibrant R&B fix. There’s also a tour in the works. Peep the full run of dates here.
