The Horrors are set to release a brand new song entitled “Whole New Way” as a single. The song was not featured on the band’s Mercury Prize-nominated second album Primary Colours. It will be available via iTunes on September 29th and released on 7” vinyl on November 3rd (with the album’s title track, “Primary Colours,” as the B-side). “Whole New Way” is streaming on the band’s website now.

An original recording of “Whole New Way” actually appeared as a bonus track on the Japanese version of Primary Colours. But the song was re-recorded over the summer with extra production from Damon Albarn’s Studio 13, in which Albarn mixed the song. Albarn has talked to The Horrors about having them involved in the next Gorillaz album after the Gorillaz/Blur frontman took a liking to Primary Colours.
