Sweden’s The Mary Onettes have announced a new album, SWORN, and shared a new song from it, “Without This Body.” SWORN is due out November 14 on Welfare Sounds. Check out the new single below, followed by the album’s tracklist.

“Without This Body” follows “Hurricane Heart” and “Eyes Open” (which features Maja Milner of Makthaverskan), two SWORN tracks released in June. “Eyes Open” was one of our Songs of the Week.

The Mary Onettes are brothers Philip Ekström (vocals, guitar) and Henrik Ekström (bass), alongside Petter Agurén (guitar) and Simon Fransson (drums).

In 2023 The Mary Onettes released several singles: “Easy Hands,” “Forever Before Love,” “Future Grief,” and “What I Feel In Some Places.” The band’s self-titled debut album came out in 2007 and have since then gone on to release two more full-length LPs (2009’s Islands and 2013’s Hit the Waves) and the 2014 EP Portico: (which is sometimes described as a full-length album). After Portico: the band went fairly quiet, focussing on family life and other creative projects, and they haven’t performed live since 2017.
